After descending from Schonbielhutte, I reached the abyss of Zermutt valley.  To the left is the base of the Matterhorn.  Water run off from Zmutt Glacier gets processed here.

     On my way to Schonbielbutte, I descended from the right and hiked above the Arbenbach  waterfall.  I never realized that beauty also lurked below me.

   Ascending towards Schwarzee, I took a picture of this couple relaxing among this paradise.

     Schwarzee (2583m).  My destination for the night.  The hotel is on the right.  The gandola station down to Zermatt is on the right.

     After a long days hike, I get a wonderful room with a fantastic view of Zermatt.  With dinner and breakfast included I only spent $50.

     From my balcony I also have a wonderful view of Monte Rosa (2795m).  Sliding down the base of Monte Rosa is the Gornergrat Glacier.  On the summit of the left most peak is the Gornergrat.  One of my hiking destinations for tomorrow.

     A room with 2 views.  I was lucky to be assigned a corner room.  Accomodations included hot water and plenty of electricity.  At night, I could look down at  the city lights of Zermatt or stare up at the constellations.
